Families Chavalera Forcadell and have a long tradition in the town of citrus Alcanar and put that experience available to your palate and to your door.

Our oranges and tangerines are the fruit of the work and effort of many years, starting with the grandfather Joseph who already was engaged in arboriculture. He began a path that was soon cut short by his death in a tractor accident, but left planted a number of properties that have been the descendants after keeping over the years. He also sowed their descendants the love for the agriculture and citrus farming.

The life of bitter citrus trees standing before was quite long. Later with changing foot trees tolerant to sadness, to change the drip irrigation systems for better utilization of water, it was determined that the orange life remains long, but obliges amended periodically to market. The current adaptation to market is simply to provide our best fruits to your door.

Naranjas:

The orange is a citrus fruit obtained from edible sweet orange (Citrus sinensis), the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium) and orange trees of other species or hybrids, ancient Asian hybrids originating in India, Vietnam or southern China

Within a subgroup called Orange Navel, originating in a single mutation that occurred in 1820 in an orchard of sweet oranges from a monastery in Brazil, led to the "navel orange." The mutation caused the base of the fruit to develop a second orange, small and stunted, which gives it the look of a navel. In this variety, identified in commercial terms with the word Navel, others have been derived, as Navelina, Navelate, Lane Late.

The origin of the variety Navelina is California. This variety is very vigorous and very productive. The flesh is sweet, very juicy and of excellent quality. The fruit is large and round, slightly oval. The bark is bright orange.

The Lane Late was detected in Australia in the 50s as a spontaneous mutation of the Washington Navel. The tree is vigorous, large and very productive early in the start of production. The fruit is large and bright orange rind and low roughness. It tastes sweet and nice and low in limonene, ie its juice is less bitter. The pulp has good organoleptic properties.

Tangerines:

The tangerine is the result of different citrus species commonly called Mandarin, including Citrus reticulata, Citrus deliciosa, Citrus unshiu, Citrus reshni and their hybrids. A company called hesperids fruit and its pulp is formed by a large number of segments filled with juice or juice, which contains a lot of vitamin C, flavonoids and essential oils. It is more like citrus orange, but smaller, more aromatic flavor and easier to remove the skin in most varieties. Therefore it is considered one of the most popular fruits.

The tangerine comes from tropical Asia. It is believed that the name comes from the color of the costumes used by the mandarins, rulers of ancient China. We can say that is a fruit native to China and Indochina. Its cultivation was introduced in Europe in the nineteenth century. The best known varieties are the Clemenules, Oroval, Marisol, Oronules, Clemenpons, Hernandina, ...

The group of classical Clementines is the group that contains more varieties, are characterized by bright orange fruit, spherical or slightly flattened.

The Clemenules is the most popular in Spain, was born of a mutation in Nules ClemenFina. Tree is vigorous and very productive with good fruit size and slightly flattened with a deep orange rind color and easy to peel. Juice has a high quality and very juicy pulp..

Hybrids:

Within mandarins grown hybrids obtained from many different kinds of citrus seeking to improve the physical and organoleptic characteristics. They are late varieties, good size, very attractive and color to orange-red narnaja. They have lots of juice and high sugar content and total acids. The bark is usually very attached to the pulp. Among them are some well-known as the Clemenvilla, Fortune, Ortanique, ...

Among the hybrids we have the Clemenvilla. A tangelo obtained in Florida in 1942 and comes from the intersection of Clementina Fina and Orlando tangelo. The fruit is medium-large, reddish-orange and slightly flattened spherical shape. The crust is thin and bright and very attached to the pulp. It is of excellent quality with a deep orange flesh and a very juicy and tender slices, has a sweet taste and pleasant with lots of juice.
